Is there any parking available?
Although there is no car park, there is free street parking in the square. Alternatively Maldwyn Way car park is a 5 minute walk from The Checkers.

Do you do children’s menus?
Whilst we do not offer a specific children’s menu, we are happy to discuss your requirements for children aged 12 and under provided that we have 72 hours’ notice. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Do you have baby changing facilities?
Yes, we have a baby changing table.

Do you have wheelchair access?
We have two small steps from the front door down into the restaurant. Once inside the restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible. We are more than happy to help negotiate the first two steps.

Can I bring my dog?
Due to the layout of the building we cannot accommodate dogs into the restaurant or bedrooms, except guide dogs.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?
We can accommodate some food intolerances and allergies providing that we have 72 hours’ notice and that these are mentioned when you make your reservation. Due to the nature of the ingredients we use at The Checkers we are unable to cater for dairy free, vegan, Halal or Kosher diets.

Do you cater for large tables, parties or exclusive use?

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, please email info@checkerswales.co.uk to discuss gift vouchers.

Do you accept AMEX?
No, unfortunately we do not accept AMEX.

Can we bring our own wine?
We are happy for guests to bring their own wine however this will carry a corkage charge of £25.00 per bottle. Please advise us when making your reservation if you plan on bringing your own wine.

Can I stay for additional nights?
If you would like to stay for additional nights we can offer these on a bed and breakfast rate. If you would like to dine for more than one night we will prepare a new tasting menu especially for you.

Is there a dress code?
The dress code is smart casual

How long should I allow for the menu?
Based on a table of 2 we recommend allowing 2 hours for the lunch tasting menu and 2.5 hours for the evening tasting menu. For tables bigger than this please allow extra time.
